Falcon Damascus Steel 2-Blade Folding

Robert ‘Falcon’ Scott was a British naval officer and explorer. He was most famously known for the doomed Antarctic expedition to reach the South Pole in 1912. Scott had led a previous Antarctic expedition on the HMS Discovery and was praised for his leadership and ability as an explorer. In June 1910 Scott and his team embarked on the second Antarctic expedition with the goal of reaching the South Pole. Due to the harsh conditions, 7 of the 11 man expedition team had returned to their base by December. The remaining group reached the South Pole on January 17, 1912 but found evidence that Roald Amundsen had beaten them by one month. The conditions worsened as they made their way back to their base. With little food left, they were confined to their tent during a blizzard that lasted for nine days. With dignity, they awaited their death. Searchers found their tent and frozen bodies on November 12, 1912. In England, Scott was regarded as a hero and his widow was given a knighthood in his stead. We named this unique 2-blade Damascus steel knife after Robert Falcon Scott because of its classic styling and gentlemanly feeling. This is a pocket knife that is at home in the early 1900’s and is just as impressive as a modern everyday carry pocket knife. This jack knife has two full length blades. The primary blade has a spey point shape and the secondary blade has a clip point. The spey blade is a great all-purpose utility blade, whereas the clip blade is generally used as a multipurpose blade and is ideal for detail work. With Rosewood scales and a stainless steel bolster it is incredibly good-looking. You won’t know whether to display it on your shelf or keep it in your pocket for the rest of your life. Care Instructions

1095 steel is a high-carbon steel and will rust if not dried and oiled after use. Hand wash only with soap and hot water. Dry completely after washing and before oiling.
